World of Anterra gameplay: grid combat and co-op

World of Anterra blends quick-time actions with grid-based strategy. Simple fights are meant to move quickly; harder foes need skill-based attack and defence, special abilities, magic, crafted items and movement. Steam lists single-player, online co-op, shared or split-screen co-op, cross-platform multiplayer and Remote Play Together.

Combat

The Steam about text describes a streamlined UI so easy encounters can be cleared quickly, with more demanding enemies needing strategy. Controller support includes DualShock, DualSense and Steam Input.

Exploration

You explore towns, wild animals and monster-filled dungeons. Secrets sit in containers and behind breakable objects. You can rest in taverns, camp through the night, or sit on a log in a living world with day-night cycles, dynamic weather and real-time lighting.

Party and co-op

Party members are built with a wide range of items and gear. A custom animation layering system shows that gear on characters, NPCs and creatures. Co-op modes are listed on Steam; exact party size and session rules are not published yet.
